EXPERTISE —
E-commerce, Integration
With a long history behind it, Fedrigoni has become synonymous with excellence in the production and sale of special papers and self-adhesive labels over the years.
Since 2018, the group, consisting of the Paper and Self-Adhesives divisions, has been continuously growing, expanding its global offer and geographical presence with numerous takeovers. With more than 5,000 employees in twenty-eight countries and 25,000 products, Fedrigoni sells and distributes its products in 130 countries and, thanks in part to twelve M&A operations over the last four years, it has become the leading global player in wine labels and special papers for luxury packaging, second in art and design papers and third in premium self-adhesive materials.
Within this dynamic context of major transformation, the company has decided to leverage digital technology to offer more effective, modern and innovative services to its business customers.
Goals and
needs
Fedrigoni’s aim was to provide high-quality digital services with a specific high-tech content and a focus on information consistency and uniformity. With a view to international development, the group needed a portal to offer useful services to the sales department, as well as opening up its products to the B2C market.
In its role as digital advisor, Alpenite supported and guided the client in identifying a strategic path based on three main project activities with different initial objectives that can be perfectly integrated with each other:
- Building and consolidating the product portal dedicated to B2B customers and the Self-Adhesives sales network, which is freely accessible but requires registration for premium services. The portal brings together the vast range of products (around 5000), with the option to download product data sheets (TDS), submit enquiries and request samples.
- Making the “Paper” portal available to agents to manage the entire order taking process by logging in on the website.
- Proceeding with replatforming the B2C site of Fabriano Boutique, a brand that joined the group in 2002 and boasts 750 years of history in the world of paper.
Approach and
Solutions
During this transformation process, Alpenite made its experience available to Fedrigoni by drawing up an e-Commerce revision and redesign roadmap, capable of adapting to different business needs and in line with the expectations of sales, B2B and B2C customers.
In addition to consultancy, Alpenite used its expertise as a system integrator to support the client in the adoption of Adobe Commerce Cloud in a unified multichannel vision, both in the B2B and B2C spheres, making it possible to simplify workflows and offer an optimal customer experience.
Supporting Alpenite, Reelevate’s SEO team defined the e-commerce SEO optimisation consultancy strategy for the fabrianoboutique.com project.
Information and workflows were integrated through the adoption of the PIM Akeneo, to offer the best product experience, with the Boomi Enterprise Service Bus and the SAP ERP, enabling fast and real-time communication and data sharing.
Alpenite’s end-to-end approach, ranging from strategy to process design, from technology to user experience design, adds an important piece to the group’s customer experience and further enhances the business tools to support growth.
“It is in our DNA to make a tangible daily commitment to improving ourselves, redesigning the way we do things and achieving real sustainability. That is why we strongly believe in the digital transformation path undertaken with Alpenite, which allows us to increase the quality of our services and improve customer relations on an ongoing basis”.
